Rock / Alternative

3 Doors Down are: Brad Arnold (vocals), Matt Roberts (guitar), Todd Harrell (bass), Chris Henderson (guitar), and Greg Upchurch (drums).

"Universal Republic rock icons 3 Doors Down are putting up massive radio numbers with 'It's Not My Time', the first single from their soon-to-be released self-titled album, due in-stores on May 20. Their much anticipated fourth studio album has spawned rock’s biggest radio hit of the year so far, with the debut single becoming the fastest moving song at Active Rock radio in the last five years. 'It's Not My Time' was the 1 Most Added song at Alternative Radio. And scored as Greatest Gainer three weeks in a row at the coveted Rock Radio format. This week the track jumped from 20 to 16 while closing in on the prestigious 50,000 mark in digital sales in less than a month of release." - Official website

A big "thank you" to Brad & Jen, and the rest of the guys, for sharing the following fun (and exclusive) photos with Babble and Beat!

Babble & Beat - Do you get nervous anymore? You've been in 3 Doors Down for about 13 years now and I'm wondering if nerves ever play a role nowadays and if so, what do you worry about?

Brad - Every now and then I still get nervous. Sometimes at big events like races and things. It is really scary to sing our National Anthem. I'm always so afraid to mess it up.

Babble & Beat - Your new album, '3 Doors Down', comes out on the 20th. What was the easiest song to write on this release? Is there a particular track that just seemed to flow out of you guys more naturally than the others?

Brad - I think the easiest song to write on this record was 'Let Me Be Myself'. The song seemed to flow out pretty easily lyrically. I also think it was a pretty easy idea to express.

Babble & Beat - What song on the upcoming album surprises you the most? Is there a track where the final version is completely different from your original idea?

Brad - One song for me that seemed to grow a lot from the beginning lyrics was 'Train'. The other guys helped the song grow into what it became.

Babble & Beat - What are some things you absolutely didn't allow to influence your music this time around?

Brad - The bitterness that had wanted to come out over what I had been through in the last couple of years. Life is too short to be bitter.

Babble & Beat - You're not kidding.

Despite all you have achieved so far, what are some things you hope to accomplish yet, in regards to your music career (and personal life if you wish to divulge)?

Brad - I would love to win a Grammy one of these days! I would love to get to play in some countries to which we have never been, like Russia, Brazil and Japan.

On a personal level, I can't wait to have my girlfriend be my wife... and I look forward to having children.

Babble & Beat - Sounds like you're in a great place. That's awesome.

Jen and Brad.

Do you still get excited when you hear your music on the radio? If you have control of the radio, do you then turn the station?

Brad - I do get excited. It's always good to hear. But, I do usually turn it.

Babble & Beat - Speaking of control, how much do you have in what songs are to become singles? How tough is it to make a decision like this?

Brad - We all decide together, the record company and the band.

Babble & Beat - Have you been working on videos, or at least their concepts yet, for the new singles? Can you tell us anything about them?

Brad - We just recently put out a video for 'It's Not My Time'. It turned out great! Shaun Silva done a good job. It features free running and a lot of movement.

Babble & Beat - 3DD's currently on tour. How's it going?

Brad - The fans have been rockin' out to the new songs. They have been responding very well, for which I am very thankful.

Babble & Beat - Despite all of the interviews you've done and all of the fans you've reached out to, what are some things your fans likely don't know about you?

Brad - I think they know more than I do!

Babble & Beat - Who in the band do you think has the nicest pad and why?

Brad - We have all been very blessed in that we all get to live in nice houses. That is 100% because of our fans. It's hard to say whose is best because they are all very different, but everyone has found a place that makes them feel like home.

Babble & Beat - Although it may not be feasible, name an additional item or two you think would be cool to offer for sale as official 3 Doors Down merchandise and why?

Brad - I don't know... I'll have to ask the KISS guys about that.

Babble & Beat - What are some bands out there that you feel are way underrated, or would be really successful if they could only get some more airplay?

Brad - Sick Puppies from Australia. They have been out with us on this last run and they are a great band. Check them out.
