Rock / Punk / Surf

I don’t care what people think. THIS is how Stella got her groove back. Almost from the moment I put ‘Dig It’ into my CD player I felt like I was 20 years old again and bursting with Schlitz & vinegar.

It was pure genius indeed that Criminal IQ Records took on The Gravetones. The fellas have a fantastic style that at times has a little Misfits / The Damned feel. The vocals are… well, imagine what Elvis would sound like if he was possessed by Glenn Danzig. Amazing, right?! I’m even finding the Gravetones to be a little sexy – and that has nothing to do with Ron Jeremy. Their song, ‘Ron Jeremy’ certainly made me laugh and it’s catchy as all heck. I’d fill you in on some of the lyrics but you really need to just buy the CD.

For me, highlights are many: ‘On A Pale Horse’, ‘In Cold Blood’, ‘Burn Baby Burn’, ‘Seven Days’, ‘Who’s Your Daddy’, ‘Lovely Sinner’, ‘Big Bad Whammy’, and ‘There’ll Come A Day’.

‘Creepy Girls’ would appeal to me more if it was 1 to 2 minutes shorter. But hey, this is a 14-track CD with 13 gems; it's well-worth your hard-earned cash.
