Dare I say The Alarm’s finest hour? Yes, I will.

As soon as you hit play, the new Alarm release ‘Under Attack’ starts with an amazing amount of energy. That first song is ‘Superchannel’ and it’s like getting a swift boot kick to your bottom.

‘Without A Fight’ demands you to think differently. Be strong, be determined, be positive, … A super anthem that’ll give you a little extra strength when needed. Mike wrote it before his diagnosis of Leukemia but found it to be a huge comfort during his struggle.

‘My Town’ is a hugely uplifting song that will make anyone feel tremendously proud of where they grew up, or where they live now, no matter how much of a hell hole it may really be.

‘Raindown’ – What does this song mean? Well, to me, it sounds like ‘Bring it on, you bastard. I dare you to show me what you’ve got. I will overcome. I will win. You will only make me stronger.’ It’s also a beautiful rock song.

‘It’s Alright It’s Ok’ – I need a moment; I'm baffled. The first four songs will surely be hits. Now the fifth song too? I expected a lot from The Alarm ... but this album is far exceeding my expectations!

‘Be Still’ & ‘This Is Life (Get Used To It) - Absolutely nothing negative can be said here. 2 more amazing songs - that you’ll even be singing in your sleep.

‘Cease And Desist’ takes you back to early days of the Alarm. Now I feel like doing some boot kicking. What a treat!

Ok. There’s no point of continuing. It just gets better and better throughout. This release is solid all the way through. Go buy the cd already, geez.
