Indie / Experimental / Pop “‘Me With Trees Towering’ is the first full length release from Portland, OR duo, Swallows. The album was produced by Radio Sloan (The Need, Peaches, Fact or Fiction, Courtney Love Band)” and was released in October of 2006. Their sometimes unusual and quirky melodies work really well… and we appreciate the originality! They also have a very appealing rawness to them. ‘Me With Trees Towering’ is a great effort that we highly recommend! ‘Flight’ and ‘Still Still Still Still’ created a lot of excitement around here - we especially love these tracks! ‘All Of The Wind In The World Blows To Me’ – A Siouxsie and the Banshees-like quality appears half way into this song. ‘Surf Song OR’ showcases that rawness we were talking about and shows a fun side of Swallows.
Other Highlights: ‘Hejinian Hymn’, ‘From The Bottom Up’, and ‘Wait Until Dark’.
