‘We Found A Love In The Streets But It Was Not Ours’ is the debut full-length release from the Sleeping Kings Of Iona (Harvest Sum Recordings, 2005). They formed in 2002 and hail from Buffalo, NY.

They’re famous for their fantastic live performances, playing countless times in cities like Toronto, Cleveland, NYC, & Philadelphia to an ever-growing legion of fans. On tour they've supported bands such as: The Bravery, The Books, Mogwai, & Prefuse 73, … just to name a few.

They change their sound from song to song, proving that they are a very talented group of musicians & that you just can’t categorize them. We love every track single track on this release. It’s not something we experience that often!

‘Organ’s Song’ is a beautiful, lush track. It’s one of our favorites on this album! Molly Grace’s vocals are gorgeously showcased here. This song also has a delicious Genesis-like ending. Then there's ‘Pheromone’. This one has a fantastic beat and Molly’s vocals are absolutely engaging on this track! This would be a definite single for radio play and is our absolute favorite track.

‘Nearer’ has some Clan Of Xymox moments. It is another electronic masterpiece; this time sung by J. Scott McIntosh. Molly sings with J. Scott on 'Hibernian'.

‘Seventeen’ reminds us a little bit of Au4’s sound (we love Au4 too). It’s an uplifting, sunshine-injection-into-the-arm type of tune. Whereas, 'Little Snow Girl’ is a sweet melody that has some Cocteau Twins qualitites. The track, ‘Fyrefli’ is very danceable & sexy.

It’s an outstanding debut & we look forward to their future releases. Heads-up: They are going to be providing the musical score for the upcoming Italian film, 'Dove Sei Tu'.
