Wow! What an experience this was! My imagination was running wild while I was listening to this cd. So, I’ll say that Ricky's sound sparks creative thinking, for one. There were rare moments that I heard whispers of Pink Floyd, Satriani, and even Tool. However, the majority of the time I felt like I was hearing something completely uncharted and very exciting.

‘Dream Awake’ – is a gorgeous track filled with lushness and glimpses of the future. I imagined I was floating freely … and then suddenly I was spiraling out of control down a never-ending tunnel. I loved it!

‘Seven’ – A lot works on this track but the vocals simply don’t. Ricky had a guest vocalist for this track. Imagine the result of a headlining band asking an audience member to come up on stage and sing. We don't wish to be cruel but the vocals just didn't match the quality of the music.

‘Black Ice’ – The beginning of the song makes you feel like you’re stuck in a portal. Then this ferocious beat appears. This is another definite highlight on the ‘Refraction’ ep.

‘Lucid’ – offers some hauntingly beautiful melodies & vocals (guest vocalist is Louise Sands).

‘Refraction’ – is a heavier track with good vocals (provided by Chris McEvoy). The track offers just a tiny hint of Joe Satriani and Tool.

Ricky Graham describes himself as a "multi instrumentalist from Northern Ireland." Check him out and tell him we sent you!
