Nu-Jazz / New Wave / Electronica

Bettina Koster, of The Vanishing, and Jessie Evans, of Malaria!, have recently released their album, 'Autonervous'. We're glad they did because we love this sultry, slightly jazzy, modern, and upbeat piece of work!

Drums: Evans
Bass: Evans, Koster
Guitar: Koster
Synthesizer: Evans, Koster
Saxophone: Evans, Koster
Vocals: Evans, Koster

Highlights:

‘Anchors Aweigh’ – “Nailed to a plank, set out to sea, marooned on a beach, with nothing to eat, and no one to talk to, where are you now my friend? I need to feel you, get on the ship, anchors aweigh.”

You can’t help but dance while listening to ‘Anchors Aweigh’. One of the best techno / electro / pop songs we have heard in a long time.

‘Gold’ manages to sound like the future of music and the seventies at the same time. Sexy saxophones.

‘Hello Lovers’ – The best of the Tom Tom Club only with more attitude and fancy accents.

'Sax New Age’ – Has an ever-so-teeny bit of a Shriekback and Love & Rockets feel to it at times. This track is another definite highlight on the album.

A very solid effort and one we will be playing over and over again!
