Indie / Folk / Acoustic

I haven’t had the pleasure of hearing any of Gwildor’s music before today. I’m only 30 seconds into track 1, ‘Lights Going Down’, and I am already feeling very excited to hear the rest of the CD. The vocals really stand out, bringing David Bowie, and another voice I can't quite put my finger on, to mind in an ever-so-slight way. A very attractive song with pleasing melodies.

‘Soaks Away Your Scorn’ definitely has a somewhat dreary, soft pour of rain feel to it. It’s entirely beautiful in its acoustic sadness.

The rain stops with ‘You Just Lost Your Way’. With a cheerful beat it’s encouraging, and a solid pop song.

'Emily’ conveys so much emotion in every vein of its being... through the way it was written, its lyrics, instruments, and vocals. Did a tiny hole just appear in my heart?

Other major highlights area: ‘Toe The Line’, ‘The Wolf’ – one of my very faves, 'The Boy And The Preacher’, and ‘Close Your Eyes’.

‘Tales From A Town’ is truly something special, and unforgettable. It is available now courtesy of Folkwit Records.
