Mr. C's in Poole is small style club venue with about 300 capacity situated right next door to the Poole Lighthouse, or the Poole Arts Centre as it was known. It offers a great bar area downstairs with an awesome intimate music venue upstairs. Judging by tonight's atmosphere, I can see why InMe have chosen to play here. Poole Town Centre hasn't really had a live music scene for many years, and it seems Mr. C's is doing its best to put Poole back on the map. With most of the artists that come to the area choosing to play Bournemouth, Poole without a doubt needs great venues like this.

The 1st band I saw tonight was Brigade, a four piece band who took to the stage with a very confident manner. They had to work hard with tonight's audience as it seemed most of them had not seen or heard Brigade before. Tonight they are promoting their latest single, 'Pilot' and their soon to be released album, 'Come Morning we Fight' - which gets reviewed in Kerrang this week. As their set went on, the band worked really hard to win the crowd over. Towards the end of their set, there were signs that the crowd had really enjoyed what they heard. Will Simpson (vocals/guitar), James Plant (guitar/vocals), Naoto Hori (bass), and Andrew Kearton (drums) make a great hard-edged live rock sound together and could just appeal to the masses.

InMe take to the stage, after a recent support tour with the mighty Serj Tankian of rock band System of a Down, and I think they enjoyed seeing the whites of the audience's eyes once again after playing those larger venues. InMe are playing for the 1st time tonight in Poole, though they have played a few gigs in Bournemouth. From their 1st number 'Far Reaching', the crowd took to the floor and was enjoying every moment, taking every opportunity to join in by singing along or clapping with their hands held high over their heads.

With three studio albums behind them, InMe have a host of music to draw from. Tonight's selection was a mixture of all three, with at least seven tracks coming from the latest offering, 'Daydream Anonymous'. To be fair, it is a fantastic album and the songs sound brilliant live. However, I feel that the better-known 'Overgrown Eden' tracks would have been more welcome in the set.

The pairing of the two brothers, Dave McPherson and Greg McPherson, is a brilliant combination and their chemistry on stage just shines though during the set. Drummer Simon Taylor may not be as easy to see at the back, however, he hits his drums so hard that they can be heard in Bournemouth! When the band play 'Lava Twilight', a track that I class as an absolute classic, the changing pace and almost electronic guitar sounds are emotional... it's just awesome. The set ended with the favourite 'Underdose', which had the crowd and the band giving it their all. Tonight was hot, sweaty, and intimate. InMe did what they do best, rocked the place... shaking the rafters in the process. My only moan is that I wish they had played for longer.
