("today I found an animal's mouth in a bag of broken hands..."). I finally got around to seeing the movie Number 23 (Joel Schumacher film). I had heard so many bad reviews of it, yet, I couldn't have enjoyed it more. During the movie I freaked myself out when I realized that my birthday adds up to 23. April 02, 1970 (month=4 + 2 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 0... 23!!). Trying not to give it any more thought. Shame on Taco Bell for trying to make us Americans think we need a 4th feast each day. I'll admit, a genius money-making move, this "Fourth Meal" thing, but they still should feel a bit ashamed. 9.5.07 NEW MODEL ARMY - FORCED TO CANCEL U.S. TOUR Partial official message: "Visas denied. New Model Army's North American tour canceled. We are sorry to deliver this bad news... We have regrettably been forced to cancel the North American tour that was due to start this week. The US Citizenship and Immigration Service have denied the visas that the band require to travel to the USA and so until this matter is resolved all shows are on hold. The band and management are extremely disappointed by this result as the tour was destined to be one of the greats. The new album is out, there is media attention in every city and the expectations are (were) high from the thousands of fans who had bought advance tickets.
The dates will be re-booked once the Immigration situation is resolved. There are so many incredible tracks on this release! For instance, 'Nine Plan Failed', 'Cleopatra', 'Animals and Men', 'Family of Noise', 'The Idea',... but my ultimate favorites are 'Tabletalk', 'Never Trust a Man (With Egg on His Face)' and 'Whip in My Valise'!
